𝐓𝐧𝐮𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐌𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐦 - The Universiti Malaysia Terengganu Men's Volleyball Team (UMT Volley) did not go home empty-handed after successfully carving a name as the best team in the 2023 2023 Open Volleyball Tournament which ended on May 7.
On group level, UMT Volley excelled at the top of the Group C chart when it emerged as the group champion out of 5 teams and continued to excel in the quarter-finals by burying UPSI B with a score of 31-22.
UMT, which was lined up with new players, lost 0-2 in the semi-finals to the host, UPSI A, which was also the champion for this edition before losing 1-2 to the Kota Bharu Polytechnic team, which was made up of a number of combined players from Polytechnics all over Malaysia for the place-determining match third & fourth.
The tournament, which was participated by 20 𝐾𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐧 𝐝𝐫𝐢 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐮𝐡 𝐏𝐓 𝐭𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐭𝐬𝐬𝐬, 𝐩𝐨𝐒, 𝐏𝐆 and 𝐏𝐨𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐬𝐬, is a field to test each team before the main tournament at the MASUM, MASISWA, IPG and MSP levels which will take place in July and August 2023.
