The Malaysian team, which was joined by two UMT students (Bachelor of Nautical Science and Maritime Transport) and a staff member from the Sailing Training Center, won the bronze medal for the J/70 Boat category.

Boat keel event attended by Terengganu sailing families, UMT students and staff on 24 to 27 November 2022

The Sailing Training Center in collaboration with the Terengganu Malaysian Scout Federation organizes the 2022 independence sailing program located at the UMT-Community Sailing Clubhouse, Pulau Duyong, Terengganu. A total of 24 participants from members of the Malaysian Scout Federation participated in this program. The program was inaugurated by En Shahrul Azwan Bin Mohamad @ Endut - Chief State Scout Commissioner, Malaysian Scout Federation

In conjunction with Sailors' Day 2022 at the national level, the UMT Sailing Training Center and the Malaysian Marine Department have organized the UMT NATIONAL e-SAILING CHAMPIONSHIP 2022 SERIES 2. This tournament is also supported by the Terengganu State Education Department, RANACO Education & Training Institute, Malaysian Sea Scouts, MIMET UNIKL, MyMET (Malaysia Maritime Education Training Association) and Terengganu Surfing Association
