In line with the increase in covid-19 cases in Malaysia, face-to-face learning activities in all educational institutions had to be postponed. This is intended to help the government to stop the spread of the covid-19 epidemic.
Therefore, in order to complete this noble effort, the UMT Sailing Training Center has implemented virtual practical classes for students taking the subject (MNS 2203) Basic Sailing Competence.
On June 17, 2021, the UMT Sailing Training Center held a Boat Model Construction Tutorial 2.0 on the Sicso Webex application. This tutorial is carried out for one hour under the guidance of Pak Hashim who is a traditional boat maker of Duyong Island. Although the virtual practical class is a bit challenging for the instructor and the students, but the delivery of knowledge needs to be continuously delivered to the students.
