A total of 24 participants consisting of beach volleyball players from all over Malaysia including UMT citizens and alumni gathered at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu to attend the 2023 Terengganu State Level Beach Volleyball Officiating Course on 9 to 12 March 2023.
Organized judicial course HEP Sports and Recreation Center, UMT in collaboration with the Beach Volleyball Committee of the Malaysian Volleyball Association (MAVA) Malaysian Volleyball Association This is the first beach volleyball development program and also a UMT 'niche' sport in a row since the appointment of Mr. Amalul Asyraf Rosli, Administrative Officer (Sports) as Head of Development of the Malaysian Beach Volleyball Committee by MAVA.
This course is run by experienced lecturers specially appointed from the Malaysian Volleyball Association (MAVA) to evaluate and recognize the course participants this time.
After spending 4 days and 3 nights at UMT, the participants who pass the court practical test are eligible to receive a recognition certificate from MAVA to enable them to become umpires for state and national beach volleyball tournaments.
Hopefully the sport of beach volleyball continues to thrive and further dignify the beach sports scene.
