The Out-Reach Program is held basically to introduce and advertise the counselors and the services offered by Counseling and Careers to all UMT students. This initiative needs to be taken considering that the culture of Malaysian society is still unable to fully accept that the counseling approach is one of the ways of helping that can be used by them. In fact, counseling is often associated with "mentally ill" and "problem people" only. Therefore, this phenomenon needs to be corrected and clarified in the hope that counseling services can and will be used by students as one of the alternative help available at UMT.

The objectives of this program are :-

1. Students know and get the services and assistance provided by the Counseling and Career Unit so that they can be utilized throughout their studies at UMT to help achieve their goals

2. Introduce the counselors in Counseling and Career to all UMT citizens, especially the students

3. Introduce the service assistance provided by the Counseling and Career Unit to students to help academic excellence and student personality.

4. The Counseling and Career Unit can improve the number and statistics of the use of services and counseling among students
