Prepared By: Shahril Shah Mohammad

04 May 2021: 'FRONTLINER' is a very important team in curbing the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic in Malaysia. Realizing the great sacrifices made by the frontliners (frontliners) of Covid-19 in the state of Terengganu, the Office of Student and Alumni Affairs (HEPA) went to the field to channel aid directly to the heroes of this country. The effort is a starting point in the hardships they went through and in appreciation of their great service in dealing with the spread of COVID-19, especially in the Kuala Nerus district, Terengganu.

In order to accommodate the officers, the HEPA has distributed 60 packs of sunnah food along with prayer equipment to all relevant officers. This contribution was presented by YBhg. Associate Professor Dr. Hafiz bin Zakariya, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Student and Alumni Affairs) of Universiti Malaysia Terengganu at Gong Badak Indoor Stadium, Terengganu. This distributed contribution is the result of the collection of donations from HEPA citizens through the HEPA Fund For Frontliners which was launched starting on 08 April 2021.

The donation is accepted by the representative Frontline Kuala Nerusia is Dr. Nasrullah bin Ismail, Family Health Officer, Kuala Nerus District Health Office. Participating in this ceremony was Dr. Fararuziah binti Aziz (Medical Officer/Head of Vaccine Center Data Unit), Dr. Nor Syafawatty binti Aluwi (Medical Officer/Head of Vaccine Center), Dr. Wan Norisah binti Wan Yaakob (Medical Officer, University Health Center) and UMT officials. During the donation ceremony, all SOPs and safety measures such as wearing face masks and social distancing are always followed.

Meanwhile, the HEPA also expressed its gratitude to the Seberang Takir Health Clinic Management and the Kuala Nerus District Health Office for being willing to accept donations and provide close cooperation to complete the related event. Alhamdulillah, thanks to Allah SWT in this glorious month of Ramadhan, HEPA can share sustenance with the front line who have sacrificed a lot for Malaysians in facing the challenge of Covid-19. This small donation is expected to give a great meaning to all of us in injecting the spirit of members and medical officers to continue to provide the best service to the local community, the state and the beloved country.

"We came forward to give this donation as a sign of support for their efforts and sacrifices and we are grateful that we still have the opportunity to continue our daily activities comfortably at home with our families, while the frontline workers work hard and sacrifice their safety and time to curb the spread of Covid-19 cases, " said YBhg. Deputy Vice Chancellor (HEPA) during the joint interview session Frontline. Dr. Hafiz also stated that this kind of noble effort is very important and can bring joy to the frontline officers regardless of the amount and value of the donation. When there are agencies that come to treat them, it brings some joy to all the officers. Hopefully this donation can continue in the future and receive blessings and pleasure from Allah SWT.
