2 UMT alumni passed ShopeeXpert 2021 with distinction
Shopee as an online shopping platform is no stranger nowadays. It can be said that almost 80% Malaysians know how to buy on Shopee. Most sellers of physical stores (offline), whether SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) or also known as Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and large companies also open online stores (online) on Shopee to further expand the market, as well as make it easier for buyers buy their stuff. Almost all goods including raw materials (Klang Valley Area) are sold on the Shopee platform. Now it's all at your fingertips, you don't have to look for things in physical stores anymore.
Recently, Shopee has just completed a graduation ceremony to celebrate the success of 13 ShopeeXperts who were selected for the 2022 session. Did you know that a total of 1638 Shopee sellers have applied to obtain the title of Shopee Certified Trainer or better known as ShopeeXpert, but only 359 sellers only those selected to qualify for the first stage.
For your information, ShopeeXpert is a special program introduced by Shopee. It aims to ensure the seller's credibility as a certified trainer to teach and guide other sellers to grow their business on Shopee. Those who pass with flying colors will be given official Shopee trainer certification and can be recognized on social media through the ShopeeXpert badge.
The ShopeeXpert program is free for all eligible Shopee store sellers. For those interested in becoming a ShopeeXpert, you need to meet the eligibility requirements set by Shopee. The first condition is that Shopee sellers must have at least 20 average daily orders (ADO) or RM3 000 average daily sales revenue in the past 90 days. The second condition is that Shopee sellers must ensure that the Shop Rating rate is at least 4.7 and above.
To date, there have been two ShopeeXpert intakes. The first intake is a total of 14 people, which is in 2020. While for the second intake in 2021, a total of 13 qualified ShopeeXperts.
For everyone's knowledge, the ShopeeXpert certificate needs to be renewed every year, provided the seller meets the minimum certification renewal criteria. This is to ensure that the seller is always qualified with the latest knowledge to teach at Shopee.
In short, every ShopeeXpert candidate must pass 3 difficult test levels with flying colours, namely MCQ Test, Study Case (Essay Writing) and Mock Training. It is stated that the approval rate of Shopee Certified Trainer this time is only 0.6%. This percentage is actually lower than the entrance qualification to Harvard University. This shows that all 13 selected ShopeeXperts are really quality and qualified.
What is more interesting and proud is that 2 of the 13 ShopeeXperts selected this year are alumni of our beloved university, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, UMT! They are graduates of a Bachelor of Software Engineering, namely Muhamad Ridhwan Bin Musa (year 2009) and a graduate of Bachelor of Economics, Ng Wee Kee (year 2017). Well done and congratulations to both our alumni for making the name of UMT famous on the number one online platform in Malaysia, Shopee. May you both continue to excel, be able to give accurate commitment and guide more entrepreneurs, in addition to giving encouragement and enthusiasm to the younger brothers and sisters at UMT to venture into business at Shopee.
